Champagne Laurent-Perrier Millesimè 2008
The property
Founded in 1812, the Laurent-Perrier Champagne House reached its golden age in 1948, thanks to Bernard de Nonancourt, distinguishing itself for the production of vintages that reflect its values of excellence and innovation.
Since its inception, the house has built its identity around chardonnay. For the freshness and finesse it gives to the blend, this grape variety is the hallmark of this Champagne reference.
Laurent-Perrier's avant-garde approach is reflected in the Grand Siècle and its multi-milliliter blends, in the Ultra Brut with its "zero dosage" style and in the Cuvée Rosé, the first rosé champagne in this category. These so-called "turning point" cuvées, each of which is an event, mark with their originality a new page in the history of Laurent Perrier and his pursuit of excellence, for which he is internationally renowned.
Bernard de Nonancourt's core values find their quintessence in the Laurent-Perrier cuvées, unanimously recognized by connoisseurs.
The vineyard
Located in the picturesque village of Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier has its own high-quality vineyards, complemented by long-term contracts with winemakers in the best terroirs of the Mountain of Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.
The wine
The Champagne house Laurent-Perrier has the distinction of only harvesting one year out of two when the rest of the Champagne region makes wine on average more than three years out of four. This choice of excellence is part of the consolidated international reputation of this great Champagne house. Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2008 is the result of an exceptional vintage and a rigorous selection of grapes of great aromatic richness from the best vintages of chardonnay and pinot noir.
The vintage
After a cold winter and a wet spring, the summer was mild, without excessive heat. The harvest then took place in almost perfect conditions with dry and cool weather, which guaranteed the preservation of the aromatic profile of the grapes.
Assembly
Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2008 is an exceptional cuvée made from 50% chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and 50% pinot noir from the Montagne de Reims.
