Fineness to the nose, the nose is lively and clean, energetic, with a fruity expression always on fresh registers.

On the palate The wine is taut and clean, with the fruity component now merged with a calcareous minerality with a savory finish.

The new sans année by Eric Taillet. Plot selection of old Meunier vineyards in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, through 12 vineyards on clayey soil and calcareous subsoil. The wines remain on the noble lees until blending, without decanting, partly in steel, partly in wood, without carrying out malolactic fermentation and avoiding cold passages or filtrations. 70% of the champagne is the result of the last harvest (2017) and the rest of a reserve perpétuelle which currently has 9 vintages. An extra-brut, dosed at 1.3 g / l.

The vines are on average 45 years old and Meunier is the master with 90% of the plants. They extend into the Vallée de la Marne and extends over 5.7 hectares (certified HVE and Viticulture Durable) planted on clayey-limestone soils with exceptional exposure. The very first bottles arrive with the maternal grandfather in the 1950s, but the Taillet champagne was born with his father Daniel in 1961. In the cellar traditional press, but used with Eric's 'little secrets', then vinification largely in steel, in small cuve with natural yeasts, and tiraggio sur lattes for the first 15 months before passing sur pointe. Eric can rightly be defined as 'the artist of Meunier', a variety he knows and loves, so much so that he created the Institut Meunier association. Eric represents the fourth generation of a champenoise vigneron family in Baslieux-sous-Châtillon.
