Rum Caroni 1996 21y 57.18%

Caroni 21 is a very complex blend, composed of barrels of rum distilled in 1996, which are part of the stock of barrels of the Caroni Distillery found by Luca Gargano in 2004. They are the latest rums produced from 100% local molasses, deriving from the last sugar cane grown in Trinidad. The cultivation had in fact totally disappeared after the failure of the Caroni Sugar Refinery and the distillery in 2003. Tropical aging led it to an angel share of 80%.
